“Cento” by Lacasapark alumni, Jonathan Vivacqua

founded in august, 2019 by art collectors and design professionals, emiliano casarosa and jaehee park, Lacasapark Art Residency is located in Gardiner, New York in the wild Hudson Valley countryside Adjacent to the 23,000-acre Minnewaska State Park. only an hour and a half away from New York City, the 6.8 acre property is nestled in the beautiful Shawangunk Mountains, surrounded by forests with abundant wildlife, streams and ponds.

Practicing a mission to support global artists whose work is of exceptional quality and expanding the vocabulary of their art, emerging and established artists are invited to test and expand new ideas. The residency offers a creative habitat, high quality facilities and intimate partnership with the founders, the board members and art institutions.

the residency was Originally built in the 1960s as a printing press workshop and it’s housed in a 4,000 sqft barn that now serves as a multifunctional work space, gallery, and loft. LaCasaPark hosts up to two artists at a time for 4-6 week residency programs fostering spacious and creative atmosphere.

the on site guesthouse is a 3,200 sqft architecture which supports our RESIDENCY PROGRAM WHERE WE HOST ART INSIDERS TO CONNECT WITH OUR participating RESIDENTS and alumni through INTIMATE GATHERINGS and creative dialogues IN A RELAXING ENVIRONMENT. the guesthouse is filled with our in-house created interior details, artworks from our private collection and the work by alumni of the residency. Tezontle, Andrea Galvani, Mario merz, Michael Heizer, Davide balliano, Pedro Reyes and Cheney Thompson are to name a few from our private collection.

the outdoor sculpture field of 3 acres is dedicated to site specific projects, sculptures and relaxation for the residents, and it’s open to the public during the exhibitions and special events. current works on view from our permanent private collection are by guido bisagni, Jonathan vivacqua, Adrian s bara, owen armour , jemila macewan, tomas Diaz cedeno, Lucas simoes and Bosco Sodi.
